Old Mill (Millersville, MD) linebacker prospect Josh Furman ’s Virginia Tech official visit included an opportunity to see a football game at Lane Stadium for the first time. The 6-2, 195-pound senior, one of Virginia Tech’s top remaining targets of the 2010 class, discussed the overall experience from this past weekend.

“I really liked the atmosphere and the people. The people are very important to me and so are people on team,” said Furman, who visited Tech unofficially earlier in the year. “Everybody is cool with everybody. Everybody on the team has a bond. I probably saw the whole team [Saturday] night. I spent time with a lot of players. I got to meet sophomores, freshmen and juniors to see how it is to live there.

“Because I’m considering Virginia Tech, the first thing I’m looking for is how the players are. I wanted to see how they live. My host, Tariq Edwards, showed me how they live as freshmen. We went out to Eddie Whitley’s apartment, which is off campus. Off-campus is real nice.”
