Mark Leal ‘s recruiting card

After taking an unofficial visit to Tech in July, Hokies quarterback commitment Mark Leal returned to Blacksburg this past weekend for a 3-day official visit. The Atlantic (Delray Beach, FL) arrived last Friday. By the time he left on Sunday, he had once again enjoyed a terrific experience at his future school.

“We showed up around noon on Friday,” recalled the 6-1, 185-pound senior. “When we first got there we met up with Coach Wiles. He took us to lunch and we hung out a bit. He’s great. He makes sure you have a good time. He’s a funny guy. We went back to the room and hung out. Then we met Coach Beamer, went to a team practice and went out to eat. I met my host, Jerrodd Williams. We hung out Friday night.

“On Saturday, I woke up, went out to eat and met up with Coach O’Cain and Coach Wiles. They had me bring my first couple of game films, so we watched those and they talked about some stuff. After that, I met up with the other recruits before the game started. Then there was the game. After the game, I was with Jayron and he was my host for the night. We hung out and had a good time.”
