Virginia Tech’s September 26th home game against Miami will kickoff at 3:30pm
and will be televised by ABC, according to a press release from HokieSports.com
on Monday afternoon.
The Miami game will mark the second week in a row that Virginia Tech will be
playing a 3:30 game on ABC, beginning with this weekend’s contest in Lane
Stadium with Nebraska. The Hurricanes will be either 2-0 or 1-1 when they come
to Blacksburg. They host Georgia Tech in Miami this Thursday night.
The game with Miami will be shown regionally on ABC. ESPN will also broadcast
the game in other areas of the country, so check your local listings.
Hokies Ranked 13th in A.P. Poll, 14th in USA Today Poll
The latest polls were released on Sunday, and Virginia Tech is sitting 13th
in the A.P. Poll and 14th in the USA Today Poll. The Hokies are one of four ACC
teams ranked in both polls.
Top 25 Teams
The pollsters are equally divided between Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.
Miami took the weekend off after beating Florida State on Monday. UNC barely
squeaked by UConn 12-10, but they remain ranked in the Top 25.
Over the rest of the month, Virginia Tech plays Nebraska and Miami, while
Georgia Tech faces both Miami and North Carolina. These rankings could move
around quite over the next two weeks.
