Preseason Football Coverage Begins Today

TechSideline.com will kick off its 2009 preseason football coverage beginning this afternoon. Football practice begins on August 6, and we are just 40 days and a few hours away from the Alabama game on September 5. For the remainder of July and the entire month of August, we will be bringing you previews of each ACC team, a position-by-position breakdown of Virginia Tech, and much more.

In general, preseason coverage will be the same as it has been in years past. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, beginning today and ending on Friday, August 21, we will preview an ACC team. Later this afternoon, our Boston College preview will kick off our preseason coverage.

The ACC team previews will detail things such as returning starters, key players, and offensive and defensive strengths and weaknesses. We will also look at each team’s key game of the season.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on Tuesday, July 28 and ending on Thursday, August 20, we’ll run positional previews of the Virginia Tech football team. The first of that series will be tomorrow, when we take a closer look at Tech’s defensive backfield.

During the last week of August, we’ll preview the ACC as a whole. There will be ACC unit rankings, a Preseason All-ACC team, ACC standings predictions and game-by-game predictions.

Most importantly, we’ll strive to keep you up to date on what’s happening in Tech’s preseason practices and scrimmages.

As usual, all articles covering other ACC teams or the ACC in general will be free. Articles covering Virginia Tech will be available to TSL Pass subscribers only.

If you don’t have a TSL Pass, now is the time to hop onboard and get yourself primed for the 2009 football season!
