Blessed Trinity Catholic (Roswell, GA) athlete Jake Skole has compiled an impressive list of scholarship offers, including Auburn, East Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Maryland, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. The 6-1, 188-pound rising senior has spent a good part of late spring and summer playing baseball, but he has also squeezed in a few unofficial visits and plans more in the coming months.

“He went to Georgia and was offered by Georgia. He went to Georgia Tech and was offered by Georgia Tech,” Blessed Trinity head football coach Ricky Turner reported.

Do the in-state schools, especially Georgia Tech, where Jake’s brother is on a baseball scholarship, have an edge over the competition?

“He said it is not going to play a factor with his brother because his brother is only going to be there for a year, but he is open to anything,” Turner said. “He has got a lot of great offers out there and he wants to make sure he visits those places. He wants to make sure the football and baseball coaches are on the same page at each school.
