NC DE Rising on the Recruiting Scene

Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly defensive end Justin Taylor looked raw at this past Saturday’s invite-only combine held at Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane (N.C.); however, that’s understandable considering he doesn’t have a lot of experience working out at combines. In fact, the 2009 season will be just his second as a football player after focusing almost exclusively on basketball.

Despite the lack of experience on the gridiron, the 6-4, 220 pounder has racked up quite a bit of college interest after recently sending out copies of his junior film.

“I know I’ve got offers from Auburn, N.C. State and Virginia Tech. I’ve been talking to them, too. I’ve also got offers from Arkansas (first to offer), Western Carolina and Louisville,” Taylor said. “It feels really good to get these offers. I thank God for them. My family is real happy about me getting them.”
