The game time for next Saturday’s big Coastal Division showdown between Virginia Tech and North Carolina has been set. The Hokies and Tar Heels will kickoff at 3:30pm, and the game will be televised regionally by ABC.
Virginia Tech is 2-1 on the season, and they are off to a 1-0 start in ACC play after their 20-17 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday. A win over UNC would give the Hokies the head-to-head tiebreaker against two Coastal Division teams.
North Carolina is 2-0 thus far. They struggled in week one, knocking off 1-AA McNeese State 35-27, despite being outgained in total yardage. They came back stronger in their second game, routing Rutgers on the road 44-12 on Thursday night. That was UNC’s first win outside the state of North Carolina since 2002.
