Snyder Reflects on Recent Visits

6-4, 235-pound Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA) defensive end/tight end Jake Snyder could well be subject of one of those key recruiting battles between Virginia and Virginia Tech, although he remains very open to checking out any program that is interested. In the last two weekends, though, he has taken unofficial visits to Virginia and Virginia Tech. This past Saturday, he attended Virginia Tech’s Spring Game and seemed to enjoy the experience.

“We got there about 11 in the morning and checked in,” Snyder recalled of his time in Blacksburg. He made the trip with his father. “I went to the weight room. I was with Coach Cav. Then he took us up to see Coach Beamer. I met with him and then looked around the facility. I went to the academic center, had lunch and went to the game. After the game, I went into the locker room and saw Coach Beamer introduce all of the new signees to the team.”

Snyder had been to Virginia Tech on previous occasions, including one time for a game, but Saturday represented his first true, thorough visit.

“I like it a lot,” Snyder replied when asked for his overall impressions of Virginia Tech. “It seems like everyone there loves it and it is a fun place to be.”
