George Washington (Danville, VA) running back David Wilson has become one of the most highly recruited running back prospects in the state of Virginia. The 5-11, 190-pound back is up to seven official scholarship offers including Clemson, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

“It has been a shock and a blessing for people to look at me as an athlete who could better their program,” Wilson said.

Wilson has only really seen one Division 1A program, and that was the University of Virginia earlier this year. He plans to visit two more Atlantic Coast Conference programs this week. No other visits have been planned, although he is considering a trip to Virginia Tech for its Spring Game on April 19th.

“I leave Friday for Clemson and will visit Georgia Tech on Saturday. I’m going to the Spring Game at Georgia Tech. I’ll be able to compare both schools since the visits are so close together,” Wilson said.
