Virginia Tech hosted 6-2, 275-pound senior defensive lineman Dwight Tucker this past weekend on an official visit, and it was Tucker’s first ever experience in Blacksburg. The Oviedo (FL) product, hosted over the weekend by freshman defensive tackle Kwamaine Battle, arrived on Friday.
“When I got there, they showed me around the school. They showed me the academic area and where I would go to study hall. They showed me the weight room,” Tucker said. “Then, I had a chance to eat dinner with the coaches. I met all of them. On Saturday, we ate dinner in the President’s box in the stadium. For the most part, I just hung out with the players and coaches all weekend. The team had a run through on Saturday and I got to meet the whole team, which was a plus.”
Tucker discussed how he felt at Virginia Tech.
“Actually, it was pretty cold, but Blacksburg is a small town like mine so I felt like I fit in pretty good,” Tucker said.
