Virginia Tech’s football game with Clemson, scheduled for October 6, will
kickoff at 6 pm and will be nationally televised by ESPN. The game is expected
to play a major role in the ACC Championship race.
If the Hokies defeat UNC as expected this Saturday, they’ll travel to Clemson
with a 4-1 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the ACC. If Clemson defeats Georgia
Tech on Saturday, they’ll be 5-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play when they
play Virginia Tech.
The Clemson game will be Tech’s third game of the season that has been
nationally televised by ESPN. ECU and LSU were also televised on ESPN.

Chris Drager Out for Season
True freshman tight end Chris Drager will miss the remainder of the season
after an MRI revealed a partially torn ACL in his knee, as well as a sprained
MCL. According to Virginia Tech director of athletic training Mike Goforth,
Drager’s knee will be scoped in about two weeks.
Drager has played in all four games for Virginia Tech. He has seen action on
19 offensive plays, catching two passes for 23 yards. He has also played 36
special teams snaps.
Clemson Tailgate Information
The Palmetto Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association is hosting a
tailgate for Hokie fans who are traveling to the Clemson game. The tailgate will
begin at 2 pm and will take place at the Clemson YMCA. Here are the complete
