Virginia Tech head coach Seth Greenberg picked up his first verbal commitment for the 2008 recruiting class today, when a standout 6-8, 230-pound power forward pledged to the Hokies. The prospect is rated a 4-star recruit by Scout.com and a 3-star recruit by Rivals.com.
His name is Victor Davila , a star prospect out of Starmount High School in Boonville, North Carolina.
“He talked to Coach Greenberg this afternoon and told him,” said Donnie Livengood, Davila’s legal guardian. “This is something we had finalized recently, but we hadn’t told many people.
