6-5, 215-pound Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) star Marcus Davis did indeed make an unofficial visit to the University of Florida this past Saturday. The multi-talented athlete, rated the #6 overall prospect in the state in TechSideline.com’s Preseason Top 30, came away very impressed with the 2006 National Champions.

“It changed everything,” Davis said of the visit to Florida. “I can’t explain how it was with the people, the way they did stuff and the environment in Gainesville. It was great.”

For now, it appears the Gainesville experience has propelled Florida to the top of Davis’ list. At this point, though, Florida has yet to extend an official scholarship offer.

“Virginia Tech is still up there because they were the first team to offer me,” Davis said. “If I were to get an offer from Florida, I would probably put Florida up in front because of how they do things there.
