4-Star OL Looking to Narrow List

4-star offensive line recruit Dalton Freeman has yet to narrow down his list of over 20 Division 1A scholarships, but that could change very soon. According to Pelion (S.C.) head coach Ben Freeman, his son is looking to narrow the list of schools within the next week-and-a-half.

“He is trying to get a list down to eight or 10 by the end of this month,” Freeman said. “He has set one official visit already. He will take an official to Penn State when they play Notre Dame on September 8th. That really is the only thing that has happened recently. He is trying to get it narrowed down by September 1st, when college coaches can call once a week.”

Coach Freeman answered whether or not there are any schools – other than Penn State, of course – certain to make the first cut.

“Penn State is going to be one because he will take an official visit there,” Freeman said. “I think he is still very much interested in both in-state schools in South Carolina and Clemson. He still has a lot of interest in Virginia Tech and Virginia. I think both Florida schools – Florida State and Florida – are still in the picture. Tennessee is in there. I think Georgia is in there. He has got some schools on the fringe he is trying to weigh a little bit more. Those schools I mentioned are pretty much definitely still in the picture.”
