Highland Springs (VA) 3-star defensive end Antoine Hopkins remains in no rush to make a decision and appears set to take his recruitment into the fall and possibly beyond. The talented recruit is considering the four Division 1A programs that have offered and does not name a favorite.

“I’m just considering the schools that have offered me,” said Hopkins, who claims offers from Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech have extended written offers. Tennessee assistant coach Larry Slade informed Hopkins late last month that an offer had been extended, though Hopkins has yet to see it in writing.

“I really didn’t find out Tennessee had offered until one of the coaches sent me a text message to see how I was doing,” Hopkins said. “It was the last day they could text me. He told me they had offered and I should have gotten the letter by now. I still don’t have the letter. I haven’t gotten anything or heard anything, but he said they offered me so I’m going by his word. I will look into them.”
