6-4, 290-pound Norview (Norfolk, VA) defensive lineman Klinton “Buddy” Ruff plans to take all five official visits before making a commitment. He plans to start making the officials beginning in the middle of September. Though he has not set any dates, he does know at least three schools that he wants to visit.

“I have told [Virginia] Tech, Clemson and Virginia for a fact,” Ruff said, referring to which schools he will make official visits to. “I’m going to try and get in contact with someone at Oklahoma to talk about taking a visit there. I’m thinking about Maryland, but that is still iffy.”

Of the schools he mentioned, Oklahoma, Virginia and Virginia Tech have extended written scholarship offers. Connecticut and East Carolina have offered as well. Clemson has not offered but is a school Ruff is interested in.

“They told me they were going to offer,” Ruff said of Clemson. “They haven’t done it, so I’m not really sure what is going on with that. They are recruiting me to play offensive guard. I don’t really want to play that in college, but I still want to go and see the school.”
