3-Star DE Eyeing Visit to Tech

Beaufort (S.C.) defensive end Devin Taylor , one of the top uncommitted defensive end prospects on Virginia Tech’s target list, has never visited Blacksburg before but hopes to do so next month. The 6-6, 215-pound prospect has already visited his other major offers, so his first visit to Tech will surely be very important.

“The only school I haven’t been able to visit is Virginia Tech,” Taylor said, referring to the major Division 1A schools that have offered. “I think I’m going there sometime in September. It would be an official visit. It hasn’t been set, but I am talking to the coaches about it.

“[On the visit] I will look for the feel of the college and to see if I feel like I could fit in. I want to see how they treat their student athletes there.”

Taylor, rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals.com, discussed why he is heavily considering Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech joins Duke, South Carolina and Wake Forest as the major Division 1A programs that have offered at this time. Buffalo and Furman are among the other programs that have offered as well.
