6-6, 270-pound Pelion (S.C.) offensive lineman Dalton Freeman plans to make another round of visits this weekend, as he and his parents will travel to the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Freeman’s plan to visit Charlottesville on Saturday and will follow that up with a trip to Virginia Tech on Monday, Dalton’s father Ben Freeman said yesterday.

Freeman has received 22 official scholarship offers. Some programs have tried to pressure him into a spring/summer decision, something he does not want to do. Ben Freeman, who is also the head football coach for Pelion, continues to be complimentary of the way the Virginia schools have recruited his son.

“They have not put any pressure on him as far as making him decide early,” Freeman said. “Both have stayed in good contact with him. Both are doing a very good job with it. That’s another reason why we’re going to make visits while we’re up that way.”

The Freeman’s may visit two other programs before returning home.
