The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Virginia Tech has received a verbal commitment from 5-10, 170-pound cornerback recruit Cameron Demps . Demps and his parents are finishing up a weekend visit to Blacksburg that obviously went very well.
A rising senior standout out of Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia, Demps tallied eight interceptions last season as a junior. UNC and Ole Miss are among the other programs that had offered before the talented prospect pledged to the Hokies.
Demps becomes Virginia Tech’s 10th verbal commitment for the 2008 recruiting class. He has excellent speed, having posted a 4.35 time in the 40-yard dash during a Scout.com combine this spring.
Stay tuned for more from TSL on this latest commitment, but for now check out the AJC report linked below.
