Ruff Leaning Towards Official Visits

Norview (Norfolk, VA) defensive line recruit Klinton “Buddy” Ruff made another trip to the University of Virginia, returning earlier this week along with his team for summer camp. The 6-4, 290-pound Ruff, who has visited UVa numerous times before, enjoyed his most recent experience in Charlottesville.

“I just had fun playing my game and doing the drills,” Ruff said of his UVa camp experience. He attended camp last summer as well. “I just made the best of it. I did good in the one-on-one drills. I talked to Coach Groh one on one. I talked to Coach London. They were telling me how much I fit the mold of what they were looking for. They asked a little bit about my decision. I didn’t tell them I was coming and I didn’t say I wasn’t. I just told them I wanted to wait for now.”

Ruff may wait until the fall before making a college decision. Right now, he wants to take official visits to help with his decision. Connecticut, East Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia and Virginia Tech are the programs that have offered.

“There is a 75-percent chance I go on official visits [before committing],” Ruff said.
