After making his first ever visit to Virginia Tech on Saturday, Smithfield (VA) WR/DB Dyrell Roberts has taken the first of two key visits in the month of June. Needless to say, the visit was important for the Hokies to impress the dynamic 6-2, 190-pound playmaker. After all, Roberts had visited the University of Virginia on many occasions throughout the past 12 months and had enjoyed each one.

“It was cool,” Roberts said of Virginia Tech. He made the trip with one of his coaches and several teammates. “I like the way everything is laid out. I just like everything up there about it. I like the brick on all the buildings. We took a tour of the campus on Friday and I liked everything.

“I didn’t think it would be as good as it was because of what happened in April, but through all of that the campus pulled together and came as one.”
