Virginia and Virginia Tech may not go head to head for as many in-state prospects as you may think, at least in terms of both schools being heavily in the running until the end. But the Cavs and the Hokies are prominent forces in the race for Smithfield wide receiver/defensive back target Dyrell Roberts , who currently is high on both programs.

“They are still at the top of my list,” Roberts said of Virginia and Virginia Tech. He says he “probably” will visit both schools for camp this summer. He has never visited Virginia Tech but has been to UVa on four prior occasions.

Each program sent a message with their in-school visits this Evaluation period.
