Three weeks ago, Highland Springs (VA) standout defensive end Antoine Hopkins landed his second written scholarship offer. Now, the 6-2, 265-pound Hopkins boasts written offers from Virginia Tech and Virginia. He visited UVa this past weekend and will head to Virginia Tech in the near future.

Hopkins attended UVa’s junior day on Saturday.

“I liked it a lot,” Hopkins said of what was his first experience at UVa. “All of the coaches seemed real excited to see me. The practice was real fast paced. They were doing a lot of position specific drills. I just liked it. I also liked the campus. It is very nice. It’s not too big and not too small.”

Hopkins plans to visit Virginia Tech either during his spring break, which is the second week of April, or in late April. He visited Blacksburg last fall for a home football game and enjoyed the experience.
