Having his dream come true materialized pretty fast for Richlands (VA) wide receiver/athlete prospect Austin Fuller . Less than a day after being notified by Virginia Tech’s Billy Hite that the Hokies were offering a scholarship, Fuller, a lifelong Virginia Tech fan, verbally committed to his favorite school.

“I had a bunch of people telling me to wait, which is why I didn’t commit right away,” Fuller said. “I’ve always wanted to go to Tech, so I just went ahead and did it. I figured there was nowhere else I’d want to be.”

Fuller made the call this morning.

“I called Coach Hite, but originally he wasn’t available,” Fuller said. “When I called back, I talked to him and he put me on the phone with Coach Beamer. We talked a little while and then I talked to Coach Hite again. Both of them said they can’t wait to see me there. Coach Beamer told me that it isn’t too often that they offer a junior from my area.”
