6-0, 190-pound Gerald Jones , a dynamic athlete out of Millwood High School (OK), missed his September 29th flight to Blacksburg and thus did not make his previously scheduled official visit. The four-star prospect is looking to reschedule an official to Virginia Tech, however, and is eyeing a visit for next month.

“I’m probably going there in November,” Jones said of Virginia Tech. “My mom wants me to go on an official to Texas Tech, so I have scheduled a visit there for the 28th of this month. I have Tennessee on November 4th. Virginia Tech will probably be mid-November. It’s tentative right now. Me and Coach O’Cain talked about it [on Sunday night], but we really haven’t set the date. He said there are two dates available in November and they want to pick the right one.”

Which other programs will get official visits?

“I’m pretty sure I want to go to Florida and the last one is up for grabs,” said Jones, who added that he does not have a favorite school at this point in his recruitment.
