Star junior linebacker Bruce Taylor did not have a great weekend last week. First, Myrtle Beach High School (S.C.) lost last Friday night and then Virginia Tech fell to Georgia Tech on Saturday. The losses did not discourage Taylor, however, as he very much enjoyed his first-ever game experience in Blacksburg.
βIt was real exciting even though Georgia Tech won,β said the 6-3, 230-pound prospect. Taylor did visit for the spring game this year, but this was his first real game experience. βI liked how the fans stayed in the stadium. It was like it was a real good game. A lot of places, the people will leave when they know their team is going to lose. The Virginia Tech people stayed and cheered until the last play. That says a lot. They are real hyped about their team.β
Taylor did not have a chance to talk to several players he wanted to talk to, but he did have a chance to scout Techβs linebackers throughout the game.
βI watched the linebackers,β Taylor said. βThey played real good. I saw a lot of stuff that was similar to what we play. I really wanted to talk to Adibi and Hall, but I didnβt really get a chance to. I did get to go in the locker room after the game and I really liked that.β
