Tyrod Taylor was back in Blacksburg this past weekend, on his official visit to Virginia Tech. Tech’s prized quarterback recruit enjoyed his experience, which included a chance to get to know some of the other members of the 2007 class as well as current Hokies. His host was Tech running back Branden Ore.

“I had a ball,” Taylor said of his official to Virginia Tech. “I had a chance to talk to a lot of the other recruits. I spent a lot of time with Branden Ore. I had a lot of personal time with Coach Beamer, Coach O’Cain and Coach Cav. They told me what they thought I would be able to do for their program and what I meant to the program. I also met with some academic advisors and did things like that.”

Tyrod is obviously a big-time recruit for the Hokies and the fans certainly knew who he was.
