Offensive lineman Kyle Nunn , who was widely reported to have committed to Virginia Tech earlier this week, told The Item (a Sumter, South Carolina newspaper) that he has not committed to the Hokies. Nunn said he will make his decision in the next two weeks.
“I didn’t speak to Coach [Charley] Wiles [who has been recruiting Nunn] or Coach [Frank] Beamer,” Nunn told The Item. “The only way you can commit is to talk to the head coach, and I haven’t talked to Coach Wiles or Coach Beamer.”
News of a possible commitment leaked Monday and was reported by Rivals.com and TechSideline.com. On Tuesday, Nunn’s commitment was also reported by the Roanoke Times, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot and the Newport News Daily Press. None of the media outlets that reported the commitment included quotes from Nunn, his coach, or his family.
