By extending an official offer to 6-0, 170-pound athlete Kendrick Pressley during last weekend’s spring game, Virginia Tech has offered yet another player from the state of South Carolina. Pressley, who plays quarterback for Sumter High School, will likely end up as either a wide receiver or defensive back on the next level.

“From what I was told by coach Wiles and what they communicated to him this past weekend, basically it was if he wanted to try quarterback then they’d surely give him that opportunity and try but they assured him that if it didn’t work out they were looking at him at being more of an athlete,” Sumter head coach Paul Sorrells said. “I think he would like to get a shot at quarterback on the next level, but if that doesn’t work out then he would definitely be able to make an impact at wide receiver or defensive back.”
