Crest (Shelby, N.C.) 4-star linebacker Brandon Spikes ‘ first ever visit to Virginia Tech was last weekend, and the Hokies did a great job making a first impression on one of the top overall recruits in North Carolina.

“I enjoyed Blacksburg,” Spikes said. “It’s a beautiful place. The fans love the team. They love football.”

Spikes also commented on the pre-game “walk of champions.”

“Oh, man, it was wonderful,” Spikes said. “It was one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever had. I’ve never experienced anything like that before.”
