Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD) 4-star defensive tackle Phillip Taylor now has six schools at the top of his list. From this list, he’ll select five for official visits and expects to have at least a few of his official visits set within the next few weeks. What’s the latest with the 6-4, 330-pound blue-chipper?

“Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and Florida are the schools I’m looking at,” Taylor said. “I’m going to take visits to five of these six schools. I don’t have any dates set right now, but I should know some of the dates in the next few weeks.”

Virginia and Virginia Tech, both of which remain under serious consideration, continue to recruit the Gwynn Park star very heavily. Ron Prince is the primary recruiter from Virginia while Tony Ball is the primary recruiter from Virginia Tech.

“I’m in contact with them pretty much every day through text messaging and stuff like that,” Taylor said of the UVa coaches. “Whenever I get a chance, I’ll call the coaches. It’s about the same thing with Virginia Tech.”
