The #1 prospect in the state of Virginia made his first official visit this past weekend, and it was to one of the top football programs in the country. Highland Springs star cornerback/tailback Victor “Macho” Harris had a good trip to the West Coast to see USC according to Highland Springs Head Coach Scott Burton.

“He really enjoyed it,” Burton said. “He had a great time. The #1 thing he was most impressed with was Coach [Pete] Carroll. He liked Coach Carroll a whole lot. The word he used to describe Coach Carroll was unique. Victor said he was laid back and easy to talk to, but at the same time he could tell that Coach Carroll would jump on your stuff. Victor could tell that Coach was someone he’d like to play for. He was very impressed.”

Though Harris had a great experience, don’t expect a decision any time soon. Harris is intent on taking all 5 official visits before making a decision. No school is being named as the leader at this time.

“Yes he will,” Burton replied when asked if Harris would make all 5 visits. “That’s why this visit was easy for him, because he knows he’s going to take all 5. He’s not thinking if USC is the place for him or not because he has a long way to go. He’s a very observant and mature kid who doesn’t get wrapped up in everything. He jotted down some of the positive memories from the experience so he doesn’t get all of the visits mixed up. He asked astute questions to the players and coaches. He has the information he needs on USC.”
