Eastern (Voorhees, NJ) athlete Jahre Cheeseman returned last night from his first official visit, which was to Virginia Tech. Cheeseman took us through his 3-day experience.

“We got in at 5:30 [p.m.] on Friday,” Cheeseman said. “I met with my recruiting coach and my host for the night. I was hosted by George Bell on Friday night and Cory Holt on Saturday. I had fun on both nights.

“Before the game I ate breakfast and met with the team. Then I participated in the team walk with the fans there. We went into the tunnel and watched the pre-game. I was having a good time by then. I got a good impression from the fans. It was kind of overwhelming. They said it would be crazy, but I didn’t expect that. I was just laid back and took it all in.

“After the game I went back to the hotel to take a nap. Cory came and picked me up and we went out. I didn’t know how the players would be after the game, but everybody seemed all right. I felt comfortable hanging out with them.
