Hermitage (Richmond, VA) defensive end Jeffrey Fitzgerald , who may be the top defensive end prospect in the state, has not narrowed his list of schools. The 6-4, 250 pound prospect seems very much open right now, however hopes to narrow his list possibly by the end of the summer.

“Not as of right now,” Fitzgerald said when asked if he had any favorites. “I’m going to focus this summer on narrowing my list to five or six schools before the start of my senior year. I’m not sure if I can do that, but we’ll see. I do want to take some official visits. I’m not going to rush my decision.”

Fitzgerald has been hitting the camp circuit over the past few weeks and will continue to do so through July. Last week, he attended camps at NC State and Maryland. He has been offered by Maryland but not by NC State.

“NC State was all right,” Fitzgerald said. “It was OK. I was there Monday and Tuesday. I didn’t really get a chance to see the campus or speak to the coaches or anything. I mainly just performed at the camp and left.
