Hall Comments on Commitment

Olu Hall ’s official visit to the University of Virginia turned out to be the deciding factor in his recruitment. The 6-4, 220 pound outside linebacker recruit knew on his Charlottesvile visit this past weekend that UVa was where he wanted to play football for the next four years.

“I really knew [I wanted to go to Virginia] when I took my official visit,” Hall said. “I had heard that it was a stuck-up school and stuff like that, but it was the total opposite. I’ve said before that, at other schools, they had like a brotherhood. Well, the players at Virginia definitely have one. They made me feel like their little brother. We just had fun doing nothing…just hanging out. That’s what I was looking for in the people that I will be around for the next four years.”

Standout true freshman linebacker Ahmad Brooks, who played his high school ball at CD Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, was Hall’s host for the weekend. The two Northern Virginia natives struck up a good relationship over the weekend.

“He’s real cool,” Hall said of Brooks. “He’s a real funny guy. I hung around him and Keenan Carter a lot. The players were just great. It was an atmosphere where everybody seemed ready to go and where everyone was excited to be there.”
