Hubbard High School (Chicago, IL) safety prospect Nate Lyles is nearing his decision, and hopes to have one made at least by early next week. The outstanding 6-1, 195 pound prospect has narrowed his list down to Notre Dame, Virginia, and Oregon.

“I could make my decision anytime,” Lyles said. “It might be this week, or at least by early next week.”

Lyles has now made official visits to all three finalists, including a trip this past weekend to Notre Dame. He enjoyed his time in South Bend, however indicated that the visit did not separate the Irish from the other two schools involved.

“It was pretty nice,” Lyles said of Notre Dame. “It wasn’t the first time I had been down there, so I knew my way around. This time, I had a chance to talk more to the coaches and to interract with the players. The hard thing was that this visit didn’t seem much different from Virginia or Oregon. My decision’s going to be really tough to make.”
