Before last weekend’s visit to South Carolina, the University of Maryland was the slight leader for Mack Frost , an athletic 6-5, 240 pound defensive end from Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Following the visit, it appears the Terrapins still hold a slight edge for one of the top defensive end prospects in the East.

“Everything’s still the same,” Frost said. “Maryland’s still my leader. I have more of a relationship with all of the coaches and the players. They really need defensive ends and I thought I fit in real well when I went there.”

Frost was hosted by freshman running back Demetris Summers on his visit to South Carolina. He has been to USC on many different occasions, as the school is only 20-30 minutes from his home. Still, he enjoyed his time.

“The visit went pretty good,” Frost said. “I knew most of things I needed to know already, but I learned
more about the academic part this weekend. It was nice. My host was Demetris Summers, and he showed me some places I have never been to before, and that was fun. He was a fun guy.”
