January will be a busy month for Morristown West High School (TN) star Brandon Fanney . During the month, he plans on making official visits to each of his top four schools – Alabama, Middle Tennessee State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

All have extended scholarship offers, with Middle Tennessee State being the most recent.

“It’s the same schools as before,” Fanney said. “Only, Middle Tennessee State has offered me also. I’m going to take visits to all of those schools. I go to Alabama on January 9th through 11th, MTSU on January 16th through 18th, Virginia from January 23rd through 25th, and Virginia Tech on the weekend of the 30th.”

The 6-5, 260 pound Fanney is coming off a strong senior season where he made 124 tackles with 17 sacks. A finalist for Mr. Football in Tennessee, he helped Morristown West to the 4A state championship game. He was recently named to the 4A AP all-state team.
