Lyles Set to Visit UVA

One position the Cavaliers hope to fill in this recruiting class is safety. Hubbard (Chicago, IL) prospect Nate Lyles , who is one of the top safeties in the state of Illinois, is one of the players Virginia hopes can help with the situation.

The 6-1, 195 pound Lyles played strong safety on a stout Hubbard defense featuring Oklahoma verbal Chris Patterson. He averaged nine tackles per game and tallied eight interceptions, earning Chicago Tribune All-State honors.

Virginia hopes to impress Lyles this weekend, when he makes his official visit. This will be his first experience in Charlottesville, and he will be accompanied by his mother and father.

“I am going to Virginia this weekend,” Lyles said. “Virginia is a very good school. It’s ranked nationally as one of the top schools. They also have a good football program that’s really going in the right direction.”
