Dan Davis Takes First Visit

Defensive end/outside linebacker prospect Dan Davis made an official visit to the University of Connecticut this weekend. It was his first official visit, and it was a good one despite his arrival being delayed by seven-plus hours.

“The University of Connecticut is usually only a three-hour drive from my house, but because of the weather it took us ten hours,” Davis said. “I got there at 11:00 on Friday night, but the visit was still fun. It was nice. On Saturday I talked to some of the academics people and then I had a chance to see the stadium. They had jerseys with our names on them. I wasn’t even expecting it. It was a nice experience.

“Overall, I saw what Connecticut had to offer. They have good academics…everything’s cool.”

Davis was hosted by sophomore linebacker James Hargrave. The 6-3, 245 pound Plainfield High School (NJ) star is being recruited by the Huskies as a defensive end, and they indicate he could earn immediate playing time.
