Shuman Knows Two Visits

Despite a 2-4 start, Fork Union Prep star Ryan Shuman is confident his team can make a run at a state title. With a close 19-17 victory over St. Christopher’s in their last game, he feels the momentum starting to come on their side.

“We’re starting to come together,” said Shuman. “Our running backs are starting to get in sync with our blocking and we’re doing well. If we can keep it rolling, we have a chance to get that last playoff slot. If we make it into the playoffs, we’re confident we can run the table.”

Shuman anchors both the offensive and defensive lines for Fork Union. On offense, the 6-3, 260 pound Shuman plays center. On defense, he plays defensive end.

Following a successful summer when he earned four scholarship offers, Shuman feels like he is playing well his senior season.
