According to the Charlottesville Daily Progress, Loyola High School (Los Angeles, CA) quarterback Scott Deke has verbally committed to Virginia.
The 6-2, 205 pound Deke becomes the fifth commitment for the Cavaliers 2004 recruiting class. Virginia offer him a scholarship shortly following the 2003 summer camp.
As a junior, Deke (pronounce Day-Key) completed 69 of 150 passes for 896 yards and scored nine touchdowns. He began the season at safety but moved to quarterback mid-way through the season.
