Culpeper (Culpeper, VA) defensive back Kent Hicks received an official scholarship offer last week from Virginia Tech, giving him offers from both the Hokies and Cavaliers.

Interest in Hicks has been increasing, with schools such as Tennessee and Nebraska showing heavy interest. According to head coach Randy Bove, head coaches from around the area have been by to visit his talented safety.

“Coach Friedgen was here yesterday, Coach Groh was here recently, and Coach Beamer was here last week,” said Bove. “It’s been crazy. Nebraska has come into the mix. Tennessee has told me that they will offer him, but nothing in writing yet. A lot of schools are interested in Kent.”

Hicks now has offers from UVA, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Maryland, and Duke with more seemingly to come in the next few months.
