Roanoke (NC) athlete Trimaine Goddard has received an official scholarship offer from four schools, according to head coach Donnie Kiefer. One of the four offers has come from the University of Virginia.

“Trimaine has been offered by Virginia, Florida State, Wake Forest, and Duke,” said Kiefer. “Those are the schools that have said in writing that a scholarship is waiting for him. UNC will be in tomorrow and they may offer, and Tennessee has said that they will offer.”

Goddard is an accomplished tailback for Roanoke, however he could play a number of positions in college. He is an elusive runner, as he rushed for 1,857 yards and 27 touchdowns as a junior. On defense, he can play cornerback and has the body movement and agility to excel at that position.

Florida State and Virginia Tech were two of Trimaine’s favorites before he began being recruited. Virginia, however, has peaked Goddard’s interest, and he was able to visit Charlottesville unofficially in April.
