Two years ago, class of 2019 quarterback Davis Beville was at a small private school just outside of Charlotte. After his freshman season, he transferred to Greenville High School in South Carolina. And while just one offer has come so far (from FCS Campbell), Beville could be on the verge of more.

Last weekend, Beville saw one of his potential options in person. He was back in Blacksburg for Virginia Tech’s win over Old Dominion. Though an offer isn’t on the table yet, Beville has a good feel for the Hokies.

“It was awesome,” he said. “The atmosphere was crazy. When ‘Enter Sandman’ played, that’s what we walk out to. It just seemed like a way bigger and better version. The offense is good. They’ve got Cam Phillips and he’s a stud receiver. It was great hospitality. I talked to all the coaches and everything.”

Beville took part in one of Virginia Tech’s camps over the summer and also visited for a spring practice in April. At both and again Saturday, he spoke in depth with his recruiter, special teams coordinator James Shibest and offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen.
