In June, 4-star cornerback Kalon Gervin announced a top-5 of Virginia Tech, Oregon, Oklahoma, Michigan State and Louisville. While those five still sit in strong contention, they’re not alone.
Gervin, No. 106 in the Rivals250, said he’s set two official visits. Gervin is set to graduate in December, but he’s opened the door on his recruitment a bit more.
While Gervin keeps his recruitment open, he’s also focusing on getting healthy. He’s still played in Cass Technical High School’s two games so far, but he’s been banged up in those games. While healing has been his primary focus, Gervin said he’s also sorting through his recruitment.
“Man, it’s just really the atmosphere,” he said. “That’s why I’m looking at these games, seeing how the DBs look, the coaches. Academics are first and foremost. But just culture, how I can I really fit there and stuff like that.”
