Scot Loeffler
Scot Loeffler

Michael Brewer enters his r-senior season as Tech’s unquestioned starter. For the first time in a long time, Scot Loeffler enters the season with an undisputed starter.

2006: Chad Henne
2007: Chad Henne
2008: Dan Orlovsky/Jon Kitna/Daunte Culpeper
2009: Tim Tebow
2010: Chester Stewart/Mike Gerardi
2011: Chester Stewart/Mike Gerardi/Chris Cover
2012: Kiehl Frazier/Jonathan Wallace/Clint Moseley
2013: Logan Thomas
2014: Michael Brewer
2015: Michael Brewer

Believe it or not, Loeffler probably considers the performances of Michael Brewer and Logan Thomas to be above average. He started at least two different quarterbacks in three of the previous four seasons before he arrived at Virginia Tech. The last time he coached an established full-time starting quarterback for two seasons in a row was Chad Henne, way back in 2006 and 2007 at Michigan. I suspect he welcomes the stability.
