What are you expecting in the final three games of the regular season?

Nova Hokie 95: I’m leaning optimistic – I expect at least two, if not three wins out of this final stretch of games. Yes, we’re still injured and have a significant lack of depth on defense. But I don’t think any of the three teams are the type of offense to take full advantage of that – nowhere near our previous three opponents in terms of rough, physical play.

I see us having the most trouble with Duke, mostly because they continue to play disciplined ball, but an upset certainly wouldn’t shock me. We have better athletes than Duke, in my opinion, and if we can play smart we can win out. However, if we make even a few mistakes, we might be looking at a 24-10 type of game instead. Wake — the effort against Clemson notwithstanding — is Wake. As for UVA, it’s tough to forecast that far out, but until they beat us I’ll remain confident in this game. One thing that could make me even more optimistic would be the return of a healthy Trey Edmunds. If he’s indeed able to come back for Wake and UVA, then our bowl chances skyrocket in my opinion.
