Westlake (MD) running back/cornerback Jared Fagan did not start off the season the way he envisioned. He suffered a high ankle sprain during pre-season practice, which he has since had to play with through four games this season.

On the bright side, his team is undefeated and his injury is starting to get better.

“We are 4-0 now,” said Fagan. “Personally, I had 98 yards rushing with three touchdowns and 70 yards receiving last week. We beat Chopticon 40-16. My first couple of games, I played with a high ankle sprain. I could only play 1 1/2 quarters for the first game. I’m still averaging about 90 yards rushing per game. Now, the injury is still there but it feels a lot better than before.”

At 5-11, 165 pounds, Fagan is a 4.4 40 speedster who is being recruited as an athlete. He has received offers from Virginia Tech, Boston College, Connecticut, and Vanderbilt.
