Tripp Carroll is one of the top offensive linemen in the country, with a tall frame and quick feet. As a junior, he played offensive guard and defensive end. He had 89 tackles, 15 for loss, and seven sacks as a junior on defense. On offense, he had 17 pancake blocks.
As a senior, Carroll transferred from North Carolina to Jacksonville, FL to play for his father at Andrew Jackson High, and he played the fullback position.
In addition to his impressive physical skills, Carroll has an intense attitude and work ethic. He is consistently the first one in and the last one out of the weight room. Tripp enrolled at Virginia Tech in January of 2003.
